The Ouse Valley Eagles donated all the profits from the last home game of the season against Ipswich to Milestones: The Isaac Smith Trust. We are delighted to announce that yesterday, club chairman Neale McMaster handed over a cheque for £200 to Isaac’s father, Andy Smith.
Neale also handed over a match day programme signed by all players, coaches and staff of the Eagles as a memento of the day for Isaac and the Smith Family.
Neale said “I’m delighted to be able to hand over this donation to Andy and Milestones: The Isaac Smith Trust. I see every day how proud Andy is of his son, but also realise the hard work the whole family puts in to help care for Isaac. We at the Eagles are only to happy to help, and we hope our small donation can help in some way”
Andy Smith, Isaac’s dad and founder of the trust, said “We’re completely taken aback by the amazing generosity and support from you guys. We’re overwhelmed in all honesty that such a sum of money has been raised for our son. Having the support of people close to you is not always easy to find so to have this level of support is truly appreciated. The money raised will go towards a specialist car seat that Isaac is soon to be assessed for. One of the first trips may well be an Ouse Valley Eagles game. Thank you once again to all at Ouse Valley and the best of luck for the playoffs.”
