The Eagles are delighted to announce our Offensive and Defensive captains for the upcoming season.

Offensive captains Enrique Alonso (QB), Martin Day (TE), Nathaniel Ashby (WR) and John Murphy (OL), and defensive captains Gareth Pullen (LB), Darren Gregory (LB), Chris Parr (FS) and Andy Larwill (DL) will lead the team into battle in the new campaign – which starts away to Cambridgeshire Cats on Easter Sunday, 5th April.

Commenting on the appointments, Head Coach Will White said:

“I’m honoured to announce our captains for the 2015 season. They have shown themselves to be leaders on and off the field in many ways.

“Each player has shown very high standards and commitment to the team during the pre-season and fully deserve the honour.”

Offensive Coordinator Neale McMaster added:

“As a club we are not in the habit of simply picking a captain because of the position they play or because they are the best player. We are looking for the guys the players look up to, the ones taking rookies aside and having a quiet word – the ones who lead by example.

“We have chosen these captains because they exhibit all the qualities mentioned above. They just do things the right way, all the time, and I am certain they will be mainstays of our team for years to come”.

Defensive Coordinator Darren Hill said:

“All of them have dedicated themselves to understanding the scheme and putting themselves and their unit as a whole into the best position to succeed.

“Each demands excellence from themselves and those around them, and I look forward to working with them as we strive to be the best team we can be.”
